Operator, Earth Optimization Services โ software that maximizes median healthy life-years and median income
Soldier in the War on Disease
Building Optimitron: open-source software that ranks everything humanity could do โ policies, budgets, tasks โ by expected effect on two numbers: median healthy life expectancy and median real after-tax income. The Optimal Policy Generator and Optimal Budget Generator read outcomes across thousands of jurisdictions; Wishocracy aggregates pairwise citizen preferences; the dFDA tracks real-world treatment outcomes so cures get found faster. Background: degree in electrical engineering and physics, then about ten years of industrial root-cause failure analysis โ turbines, power plants, bridges. You write the cause the evidence points to, not the one the client wants. Then a stack of chronic diseases prompted a root-cause failure analysis on myself: I built an open-source platform that collected ~12 million data points on symptoms, food, and drug intake from ~10,000 people, applied causal inference, and published outcome labels for thousands of foods and drugs at studies.dfda.earth. That platform was fully open-sourced and is being rebuilt as the dFDA component of Optimitron. Root cause of the civilizational version of the problem: the money points at the wrong things. Current highest-EV program: the 1% Treaty (warondisease.org) โ every nation redirects 1% of military spending to medical research. A ranked bet, not an axiom: if the analysis finds a better one, the queue reorders. Founder terms at Earth Optimization Services Inc: zero granted equity, salary only. Every human on Earth is a president of the company. Contact: m@thinkbynumbers.org
